I am a licensed psychologist with a passion for helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered. I earned my doctorate in psychology and bring years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including children, teens, adults, and families navigating life’s challenges. My clinical focus includes supporting clients — especially teens — as they work through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and major life transitions.
A bit about my approach to therapy
My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to provide tools, perspective, and support to help you move forward. I use evidence-based practices while also integrating mindfulness and holistic strategies to promote deeper self-understanding and resilience. My work emphasizes shifting the lens from pathology to strength, resilience, and survival—especially within marginalized communities. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is culturally grounded, liberatory, and transformational, where clients can reconnect with meaning and wholeness. I aim to help you build tools for lasting change, while honoring the importance of presence, balance, and healing at your own pace.
What you can expect from our first session
I believe healing is most powerful when it honors your cultural identity and lived experiences. In our first session, I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and goals — but there is no pressure; you are free to share at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin creating a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable opening up. We’ll also discuss what therapy might look like for you, including the approaches I use and how we can work together to support your healing and growth. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what to expect moving forward and the next steps in your journey.
